Lawyer Kiprono Matagei wants CJ to Swear In Ruto As President
Layer Felix Kiprono Matagei. He wants the C.J to swear in William Ruto as president The lawyer wants Ruto to be sworn in as president for the remaining three years of the Jubilee Coalition term. According to lawyer Matagei, President Kenyatta’s move to surrender instruments of power and the presidential motorcade is construed as resignation within the meaning of article 146. The article stipulates that the office of the president shall become vacant if the holder of office resigns in writing, addressed to the Speaker of the National Assembly Lawyer Kiprono Matagei argues that since the speaker was present and because the message was read in writing, then it passes the test of resignation as enshrined by the article 146 of the constitution.
